ROTARIAN OF THE EVENING : PAST PRESIDENT JOEL VALER
Secretary’s Report:
Sec. Rodien Paca read his secretary’s report and he appreciated all Rotarians who helped in the success of the 32nd Induction of Officers and Directors and Turn-over Ceremonies. He informed the members to visit the website (rccpc-org.com) to see more photos of the event (e.g. Golf Games, Dinner, Induction, Tejero and San Remigio). He presented also the attendance data of the event from July 9 – 12, 2016.
President’s Corner:
Pres. Toby Florendo read his president’s message and he congratulated all the members of RCCPC for a successful induction. He hoped that we will give the same effort in all our endeavors. He told the members that many possibilities for projects and activities were explored since this Rotary year has started. As the Board plans, sorts and finalizes them they will be presented to the body.
MATTERS DISCUSS:
- Updates on Tejero Rehabilitation Plan – Mr. Lawrence “Lary” Lelina made an update on the Tejero Rehabilitation Plan as follows:
Phase 1 – Cleaning & Repair of Water Line from Roof Gutters to Storage Tank
Phase 2 – Installation of PE Pipes from Storage Tank to Comfort Rooms
Phase 3 – Water Drilling @ 100ft. Deep To provide Water to 2-units Storage Tank
Details of the report were discussed with power point presentation and send through emails to all members.
- Donations from Rotary Club of Yokohama Konan & Oita Minami – Pres. Toby Florendo made an acknowledgement of the donated funds that he received as follows:
This is to acknowledge I have 6 (six) envelops from the Japanese donations in my possession.
# 1. 50,000 Yen – ROTARY CLUB OF OITA MINAMI
# 2. 100,000 Yen – ROTARY CLUB OF YOKOHAMA KONAN
# 3. 100,000 Yen – ROTARY CLUB OF YOKOHAMA KONAN
# 4. 100,000 Yen – ROTARY CLUB OF YOKOHAMA KONAN
# 5. 100,000 Yen – ROTARY CLUB OF YOKOHAMA KONAN
# 6. 240,000 Yen – ROTARY CLUB OF YOKOHAMA KONAN
There were two copies of the acknowledgement one (1) is with Pres. Toby and the other one (1) is with the staff of Sec. Rodien Paca Mr. Leeward Arcenio. Total amount of the donated funds was 690,000 Yen (50,000 Yen from Rotary Club of Oita Minami & 640,000 Yen from Yokohama Konan).
Members who were present at the meeting agreed that the fund will be keep as Yen for the meantime as the Philippine Peso is strong. Once the fund is needed they will convert it to peso.
The donated funds were distributed as follows; 240,000 Yen for ROTAPLAST, 100,000 Yen for FEEDING PROGRAM and 100,000 Yen for WATER DRILLING. Pres. Toby will ask PP Masao Koike to ask the Japanese donors about the remaining funds amounting to 200,000 Yen, for what it is intended for.
- Memorandum of Agreement – Pres. Toby Florendo suggest that for every project that is transferred to the recipient/donee there should a MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT.
- General Assembly – On July 25, 2016 the General Assembly was announced by Pres. Toby. Matter’s to be discussed is to increase or maintain the Monthly Dues of each member.
Meeting was adjourned by Pres. Toby Florendo at 8:42 pm.
