RCCPC Secretary’s Report (Week 5)

Good evening fellow rotarians and guests. Last July 23, 2018, We had our fellowship night wherein we celebrated together the anniversaries and birthday celebrants for the month of July. Special thanks to our very effective rotarian of the evening at that time, PP Felix Asoy (recently elected as PDA President).

 

On July 27, Rotarians Robert, Jonathan, Larry and yours truly were inspected the prospect water drilling projects located at lawaan, Talisay City. 2 areas had been proposed there, the Elementary and High school buildings which were apparently located within the area. Our new active rotarians Robert and Jonathan are currently working on the project details on this project including the possible contractors and the costs estimates in collaboration with our project chair, Rtn. Larry.

 

On July 30, 2018 Monday, as relayed to you, we had the joint board meeting with the council of past presidents held at the cebu country club. In attendance to the said event were as follow: PDG Anton, PDG Ted, PSAG Benjie Akol, PSAG Al Alcibar, PP George Hong, PP Marcy Koike, PP Chilo Delator, IPP Sam Tiu, PP Jack Jamero, PP Joel Valer, Pres. Rodien, VP John Sulay, Sec. Aldrin, Dir. Jensen Racho and Dir. Mark Ynoc. We were 15 on that meeting. Among the Topics we had discussed were the following:

 

  1. Membership Attendance and payment of dues, wherein suggestions like to write a letter to the concerned members in terms of attendance and his corresponding overdue Related policies on membership and attendance could be sourced out in the rotary.org for the policy making and soon to be adopted as amendment of our articles of incorporation and by-laws (RCCPC Rotarians, Inc.)
  2. Turnover of the financial report prior to the deadline of the Rotary International which will be every July 1st. A fiscal report as of May 31 should be presented to the body from the Treasurer’s accounting record for the purpose of identifying the active members to be considered to be paid in the RI dues come next rotary Also, a quarterly FS is required from the treasurer’s end to be presented to the bulletin for the members consumption as to the status of our finances on that particular period.
  3. Policy making of membership acceptance was also discussed in the Among the highlight of this topic were:
  • prospect member should observed the 3 meetings
  • Circulation of biodata from the prospect members should be done 2 weeks before the scheduled induction of the new member
  • Rotary information should be done 1 week before the said induction
  • In the event that the GM membership will have concerns on the prospect member, the issue should be tackled and discussed in the BOARD LEVEL and the concerned member whom raised up the issue should depend and/or discussed the matter before the board and the latter should come up with its verdict whether to pursue or not on the prospect
  • That’s WHY, all members are reminded and/or discouraged to call our visiting rotarians as a soon to be a member/ or due to be inducted in order for us to MANAGE the expectations of the prospect member as a
  • Attendance validity of the prospect member is From his last visit.

 

Last August 4, Saturday, I wasn’t able to attend the ACOM because of the prior commitments, but our president and our AG Boy will have their time also to discuss the matters as discussed in the ACOM.

 

This morning, we had emailed to you your respective statement of accounts, should you have concerns on your individual numbers, please let us know so that we can discuss the matter of coursed together with our very active treasurer Boboy. Printed copies of your statements are available in the secretariat.
