RCCPC Secretary’s Message – Week 4

Good evening fellow rotarians and guests. Last meeting July 16, 2018, thanks to the following rotarians who made part of the successful program, PP Jack Jamero was our Rotarian of the evening, PSAG Al Alcibar who lead us in the invocation, pambansang awit and also for reciting the four way test and the RCCPC Creedo. Our guests and visiting rotarians were introduced by PP Felix Asoy. The highlight of last meeting was the presentation of the financial report to the body by our very active treasurer, Treas. Antonio “Boboy” Tan. It was noted on the presentation that it was only the funds of this current administration had been presented since the previous administration will still be presenting their financial report next week July 30. Several concerns had been tackled like the annual dues, paying to the RI, admission of new members, the rotary information and also in creating guidelines on several important aspects in our administration like membership and induction of new rotarian and handling collectibles and among others.
Last Saturday, we had an ACOM or Area Coordination Meeting held at Casino Espanyol, present there from our club were, Pres. Rodien, Sec. Aldrin and AG Boy Unabia. Among the topics discussed during the ACOM were as follows:
- RI Convention 2019 to be held on 1st week of June 2019 at the Hamburge Germany.
- Basura Run and Mangrove planting on Sept. 1 to be headed by our sister club Rotary Club of Naga Central where AG Boy pledged for a bodol bodol lunch with Lechon.
- TRF night on Nov. 10, 2018 to be hosted by our club.
- July 29, Blood letting to be hosted by RC Mandaue at Robinsons Galleria
- Governor’s Visit to be held on Sept. 3 to Sept. 8 for Cebu clubs. Our club will be on Sept. 3 Monday.
- Our very own president, Pres. Rodien presented a power point presentation for the projects we did already like the concluded Medical Mission with MTF International and other partners.
- This coming August 5, will be the deadline for the pledges and donations for the end polio campaign of Rotary International.
- Rotary Club of Bohol also highlighted that they will have their Cleft lip and palate operation similar to our rotaplast this coming September 2018, ours will be on October 2018.
- Next ACOM will be on August 4, 2018.
Our best wishes to the newly weds, IPP Sam and Carla. They tied the knot yesterday and sealed with a very hard kissing scene as if they cannot wait anymore to make babies. Kidding aside, good luck to IPP Sam and Carla for journey of being a married couple!
Also our deepest sympathy to the family of our Pres. Rodien for the passing away of his grandfather and was being buried yesterday in Naga City. May his soul peacefully departed and the eternal light shine upon him. Rest in peace.
Continue the fun my fellow RCCPC coz in ROTARY it should be FUN.
