Secretary’s Report:

Sec. Rodien Paca reminded his fellow Rotarians about the completion of the Rotary updated Profiles for their systems. This was necessary for our database and we had to update the RI records for each Rotarian.

He offered of assisting each member to open an account at the Rotary International web page with username and password. He would be willing to help his fellow Rotarians anytime for this work.

He informed also that starting this month, we would be imposing the RCCPC ID system. He said that they would design ID’s for each member and their present position. He asked the members to give their ID information and latest 2 x 2 picture if they don’t like what we had in the port side.

Lastly he presented and discussed the agenda of the Area Coordination Meeting as follows:

  4. Other Matters – Announcements from DG’s, AG’s, Presidents and Club Officers

 

President’s Corner

Pres. Toby Florendo thanked the previous set of officers for their turnover report last week.

He also thanked the members who attended and participated in their meeting last week, as they discussed the increase in dues.

He informed the members about the upcoming Rotaplast Mission that would happen on October and forming of committees. He hoped that everyone must tackle their assignments with pride as Rotaplast has become their Signature project.

He informed the group that he received a few emails with regards to the Rotary Club of Oita Minami grant. He requested to his fellow Rotarians that they get the actual presentation/proposals on paper, so that they can send to Rotary Club of Oita Minami.

He reminded that next week is the 3rd meeting of the month. He hoped that his fellow Rotarian will invite their spouses to attend the meeting and witness the induction of the 2 new members as well as the discussion about their water drilling machine.

 

OTHER MATTERS

  1. Rotary Information – the schedule for ROTARY INFORMATION for the 2 new prospective members was set on Aug. 10, 2016 and PDG Anton Florendo volunteered for the task.
  1. Rotaract Induction – RCCPC donated 10,000 pesos for ROTARACT INDUCTION and Pres. Toby asked for additional support from its fellow Rotarians. Induction was scheduled on Aug. 13, 2016.
  1. ROTAPLAST – PDG Anton Florendo discussed about the upcoming ROTAPLAST Project that will commence on October 11, 2016. Assignment of committees had been discussed and how to improve the project compared to last year. He also received a donation amounting to 200,000 pesos from a unanimous donor. Estimated patient that can avail the program were 105, 15 patient per day, 7 days a week. Three operating rooms will be used at the Adventist Hospital, everything would be the same as the previous year. There would be another meeting scheduled on Sept. 1 and 1st week of October. There would be a fund raising regarding this project because last year was a little beat short on funds. There was already a contribution amounting to 240,000 yen from Rotary Club of Yokohama Konan. Committee Chairmanship last year would be retained unless otherwise the member was not available.
  1. Eight (8) Balikbayan boxes from Hawai – was not used from previous administration, some of the items already expired. But there were some items that could still be utilized. There was a call for an inventory on the said items by Secretary Rodien.
  1. Seamless Seminar – PP Joel Valer made a report regarding Rotary Foundation. This is the Centennial year for Rotary Foundation and its objective is to alleviate the situation of the poor. The contribution of Rotary and its impact to the world. He discussed also about eliminating POLIO.

 

PR Jef Tan discussed about social media (twitter, facebook, instagram and etc.). He also discussed about Rotary Logo.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:43PM.
