President Message _ Sept 5

President’s Message

Good Evening fellow Rotarians.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of one of our Past Presidents, Maning Granada. Maning was our President in 1986-1987. Some of us were fortunate to have been PP Maning’s friends and golfing buddies. The funeral was held last Saturday.

This is the start of a very busy next 2 months for us.

We have Rotaplast, Rotaplast preparations, and the Governor’s Visit coming up.

Please continue to do your best in soliciting for our mission.

The Committees are out. May I request the Committee Chairmen to call for their own Committee meetings to iron out details and figure out requests that you need to send to the Board.

Reminder to all Officers and Directors we will be having a planning session this Friday, September 9, 2016 at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club. This in preparation for the Governor’s Visit on September 19.

The meeting on Friday will start at 1pm (inc lunch) and is expected to last until 4pm.

There will be a golf game in the morning. Assembly is at 7am, so we can tee off by 7:30am. Non-members of Alta will not be paying green fee but will be requested to contribute a little extra for the lunch/seminar expenses.

We also had our first feeding at Tejero Elementary school last Friday, September 2. I would like to acknowledge the presence of PP Al, Sec Rodien at the school and in helping in the serving of the food to the children. Hopefully we can get to go and help serve some other Fridays.

Let us look forward to the things we will be doing to serve humanity in the next 2 months.

Thank you.
