MINUTES OF THE MEETING

BOARD MEETING

September 9, 2016

Meeting started at 1:30 PM with 13 Board Members and Directors were present, 1 guest (AG Robin Ong).

Pres. Toby called the meeting to order.

Pres. Toby first discussed that AG Robin was invited to give inputs for the Visit of the governor.

AG Robin emphasized on-going projects by the Club and elaborated below with corresponding presenter during the Governor’s Visit.

1.  Feeding Program at Tejero Elem School- Dir. Daryll Abay-Abay
2. Water Drilling System- Tres. Larry Lelina
3. Rotaplast- Dir. Jeffrey Tan
4. 10 Outstanding Traffic Enforcer of Cebu- Jensen Racho and Kit Daleon
5. Grand Oita Minami- Aldrin Bantillan and John Sulay

 The presentations must be compiled in one folder for the Governor to be scanned an hour before the meeting would start. Secured to provide soft and hard copy.

All key projects must be named as per “Chapter” so that it would be easy to the Governor and much better post in on the club central all presentations and preparations you have for her visit, according to AG Robin.

As discussed it would be better also to at least include the small projects that the club hosted.

Sec. Paca gave suggestion to include the ff. as Small projects:

1. Public Relations- Social Media Interaction (Twitter, websites, Facebook, etc.), Newspaper Postings
2. Education
3. Carrier Talks which will be on November 26 includes 3 rotarians the Custom broker, Architectural, and the Engineering.
4. Tesda- provides Job Placement to Cebuanos in partnership of Rot. Dave Ismael
5. Medical Mission- every year the rotary partners to different entity to hold a medical mission (dental, operations, etc.)
6. Community Service
7. Gawad Kalinga Project in partner of Toby organization and the Rotary
8. Gift Giving- share a joy project of Sec. Paca and rotary to the children of Naga City.

Submissions of key projects would be on Wednesday, September 14 and last would be on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016  handled by all assigned Rotarians, Sec. Paca will make a summary of presentation and consolidate it one file.

Pres. Toby Florendo mentioned about the Rotaplast target to raise was one million and mentioned the 30,000 and 50,000 USD for Rotaplast.

Pres. Toby mentioned that he would be out of town by September 14 to 18, 2016. Pres. Toby also announced that no meeting would happen this coming Monday September 12, 2016.

The Meeting was adjourned 4’oclock in the afternoon.
