Dear Rotarian,

     As club presidents and district governors you have an opportunity to nominate Rotary clubs, individual Rotarians and other members of the family of Rotary for a variety of awards. This includes the opportunity for your club and district to work towards the Presidential Citation. This program is to encourage Rotary, Rotaract and Interact clubs to strengthen Rotary and their club.

     For the 2016-17 Rotary year, the President Citation awards are again data driven. Clubs and districts have an entire Rotary year, July 1st 2016-June 30th 2017 to complete all activities. New this year, is the availability for all Rotarians registered on MyRotary to view a report called the Citation dashboard to see their club’s progress towards the Citation.

     A 2016-2017 Presidential Citation user guide has been created for Rotary clubs. This resource includes how goals are calculated and how to submit certain goal in Rotary Club central. Goal data is collected automatically, such as Foundation giving and membership goals, others need to be reported in Rotary Club Central. Please share the below information with your districts and clubs.

Tracking, club, district and regional levels    

• Rotary club report: You can access this report on Rotary.org>Manage tab> Club and District Administration> Reports> Awards>Presidential Citation. All  Rotarian’s can see their dashboard, however only district and club leaders can enter information in Rotary Club Central to contribute to the Citation. Regional leaders will be able to view the status of all districts and clubs in their zones.

• Rotaract club report: This will be available August 2016. Rotaract Club leaders, and sponsor club leaders will have access to this report. District leaders will be able to view a district rotaract report. See report: Rotary.org>Manage tab> Club and District Administration> Reports> Awards>Presidential Citation.

• Interact club Citation: club and district leaders can report this to RI starting June 2017. 

Important award dates/deadlines for the 2016-17 year

• July 1st 2016 : All Rotarians can track progress towards Citation with dashboard report

• August 2016:  Reports for individual District, and Rotaract (club and district) available

• October 1st 2016:  Service Above Self Award

• November 1st 2016: Vocational Service Award

• March 1st 2017:  Rotarian Spouse/Partner Award 

• March 15th 2017: RI Significant Achievement Award

• June 30th 2017: TRF Distinguished Service Award/ Rolling deadline for Avenues of Service and TRF Citation for Meritorious  Service awards ends

• June 30th midnight CST 2017: Deadline for the Presidential Citations

• July 1st – August 2017:  District and Club leaders can report eligible Interact clubs
