Secretary’s Report:

 

Sec. Report was read by Tres. Lary Lelina:

He congratulated the new and active Rotarians, Mr Naoya Osawa and Mr. Lester De Los Santos. He said that their entries to the club would surely make it stronger with their will and dedication to the club. They had shown dedications when they attended club activities without being inducted and now is the day for them to be officially congratulated.

 

The ID Systems which will be implemented soonest will have the following guidelines:

  1. The RCCPC ID will be used as our official ID.
  2. The Big Nickname and Classification at the front will be good for guests and visiting rotarians to see.
  3. Identification is the basic form of documentation for any Club.

If there were any suggestion and comments, please do comment now before we can finalize.

The information, will be collected by Leeward.

Lastly, please check in your website, we have posted a lot of the Rotaplast schedules and references last year. This will also give us a better outlook of what we shall do this year.

 

President’s Corner

He said that this was the 3rd meeting for the month and we would like to welcome all our spouses.

The induction of two individuals into the club, Mr. Naoya Osawa and Mr. Lester De Los Santos, were welcomed into the Rotary Family as they joined the club in Serving Humanity.

We were announcing the chairmanships of the different Rotaplast Committees. If you feel you were unable to fulfill the responsibilities please let the officers know so we can make changes.

We were also continuing the feeding program at the Tejero Elementary School. We had made arrangements with the principal for the details of the program.

We received an offer for our water drilling machine. We discussed the ramifications and responsibilities for our club based on the offer.

We hoped we had a wonderful evening with our spouses.

 

INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBER

 

The CHARGING TO A NEW MEMBER was done by PP Al Alcibar and inducted by PDG Ted Locson. Spouse Hannah made the pinning of Rotary Pin to Mr. Lester and Mr. Takeda to Mr. Naoya. Warmth welcomed was made to the 2 new members. Rotarian Lester made a short speech, he thanked AG Gilbert for inviting him and to her wife for the support that she gave. Rotarian Naoya made also a short statement, he thanked RCCPC for accepting him as a new member and he promised to be present every week.

OTHER MATTERS

 

*ROTAPLAST

 

Pres. Toby discussed about the chairmanship for the ROTAPLAST 2016.

 

PDG Anton made an update report for ROTAPLAST:

  1. Documentation for PRC licensing for 9 doctors from USA.
  2. Received 3 Rotaplast Mission sponsors from District of Massachusetts, Boston. So the next Pres. won’t worry.
  3. Letters of solicitation will be printed by next week. Solicitation ranges from 5,000 to 50,000 pesos. We can print as many as we can.

 

Last year was overwhelming as we solicited more than 875,000. More and more patient were coming as the ROTAPLAST was been a mission of choice. It was different from OPERATION SMILE or OPERATION RETURN HOPE because ROTAPLAST was doing CLEFT PALATE SURGERY.

 

*FEEDING PROGRAM

 

Pres. Toby discussed about the feeding program for Tejero Central School as follows:

 

  1. Feeding program sponsored by the donor of Spouse Jojo amounting to $2,000 and a donation from the ROTARY CLUB OF YOKOHAMA KONAN amounting to ¥100,000. The budget for every feeding ₱5,000 (more or less), this can feed 300 to 330 malnourish students every FRIDAY the week until the end of school year. This will be a whole year feeding program. The cost for caldero was ₱3,999.95.

 

Pres. Toby asked for additional volunteers, 8 were needed for preparation and distribution. He said that we asked assistance from our spouses.

 

Pres. Elect. Sam Tiu asked and suggested the food for FEEDING PROGRAM will be fortified with vitamins. He said that there was a product from Pascual Laboratory.

 

Pres. Toby asked for the details of the product so that it can be utilized in the feeding program.

 

There would be a signed memorandum of agreement that the expenses on the FEEDING PROGRAM will be subject for liquidation. The budget was ₱ 20,000 per month.

¥100,000 was turn-over to Tres. Lary, this was the budget for two (2) months feeding.

There were no objections on the proposal for feeding program. It was move and seconded by PP Tim Alampay.

*WATER DRILLING

Lary Stone Breaker of Cebu West made 3 proposal on the water drilling project.

  1. Joint venture
  2. Rent – for ₱75,000/month, he will do the maintenance and other incidental cost.
  3. Outright purchased amounting to ₱900,000

Pres. Toby asked for enlightenment or ramification from PDG Anton Florendo and Ted Locson about the machine that was used for water drilling projects received from ROTARY CLUB OF TACHIBAYASHI through ROTARY FOUNDATION matching grant, whether to sell the machine and put it on another water drilling projects.

 

PDG Ted Locson said that we must explain or satisfy the donor that the proceeds from sale would be put to another water drilling projects. He suggested that the TRF Chair would communicate to the Rotary Foundation.

 

PP Al Alcibar said that the machine was more than 10 years already.

 

Pres. Toby asked about what would be our responsibilities and he also asked updates from PDG’s for approval from the Rotary Foundation.

 

PP Al Alcibar suggested to sell at 1.1 million because the buyer will asked for discount.

 

Tres. Lary paid RI dues 56K, Governor’s levy 500 each member, ROTARACT levy, Disaster fund and others.

 

Tres. Lary reminded his fellow Rotarian’s to pay their dues.

 

Pres. Toby said that we would send text reminders for semestral dues and past dues.

 

PDG Ted Locson suggested to include BPI account no. so that the Rotarians can direct deposit their payment.
